ENDOCRINOLOGIST


Dr. Stonesifer received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas. His internship and residency in Internal Medicine were also at the University of Arkansas as well as his fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism. Dr. Stonesifer is originally from Arkansas and graduated from Little Rock Central High. His undergraduate studies were at Washington University in St Louis, where he graduated cum laude, majoring in biology. He was in private practice in Little Rock and also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Arkansas College of Medicine until 1984 when he moved to the Northwest. He has been in private practice since that time, initially in Tacoma and now in Federal Way since 1989. He has also been doing clinical research since 1989. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty Board of Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Dr. Stonesifer is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Diabetes Association, The Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, The Pituitary Society, and the Pituitary Network Association. He is past president of the both the Arkansas Affiliate and the Washington Affiliate of the American Diabetes Association and has been Medical Director of Diabetes Programs in Arkansas and Washington state.

Dr. Stonesifer has published articles in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and the Archives of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology.
